Voice experts expected progress activated Yui Rail extent construction

 

ゆいレール延長で活性化に期待の声　専門家らがシンポジウム

 

２０１３年8月１０日にゆいレール開業１０周年を迎えた沖縄都市モノレール（那覇市、仲吉良次社長）は１６日、記念シンポジウムを那覇市の自治会館で開いた。

 

ゆいレールは市民の足として定着し、２０１２年度乗客数は１４２２万９７８９人の過去最高を更新した。

 

１１月には１９年春の開通を目指し浦添市への延長工事が始まる。

 

シンポジウムでは、ゆいレールを中心とした新しいまちづくりや交通体系の整備、観光振興への貢献など、唯一の軌道系公共交通機関として、さまざまな期待が示された。

 

仲吉社長のほか専門家や地域代表ら５氏がゆいレールの現状や課題、展望について意見を交わした。
