Die US-Popsängerin Katy Perry hat für einen kurzen Moment Twitter-Geschichte geschrieben: Als erste Nutzerin des Kurzbotschaftendiensts im Internet verzeichnete die 29-Jährige am Freitag um 22.43 Uhr (MEZ) mehr als 50 Millionen Anhänger.

 

Laut einer Vergleichszählung von Twitter Counter kam Perry auf 50.025.667 Anhängern, gefolgt vom kanadischen Sänger Justin Bieber mit 49.230.470 "Followern".

 

US-Präsident Barack Obama als Nummer drei folgten noch 41.219.748 Menschen.

 

Lady Gaga, die im März 2012 als erste die Marke von 20 Millionen Anhängern überschritten hatte, landete am Freitag auf dem vierten Platz.

 

Siegerin Perry verzichtete bisher auf einen Kommentar zu ihrem Rekord.
