Sagan, le finisseur slovaque toujours dans les bons coups, n'a pas pu accrocher la victoire d'étape derrière laquelle il court depuis le début de ce Tour.

 

A défaut d'un orfèvre du sprint, c'est un redoutable finisseur lui aussi qui l'a piégé : Alexander Kristoff, le Norvégien, vainqueur de Milan-San Remo, n'est pas le premier venu.

 

Et puis Sagan n'a pas tout perdu.

 

Au pied du chaudron stéphanois, il conforte son maillot… vert.

Faut-il rappeler que ce maillot distinctif n'est pas, contrairement à ce que dit un raccourci un peu facile, celui du meilleur sprinteur.

Du côté de l'équipe Astana et de Nibali, on a calmement protégé le maillot jaune avant les grandes offensives.

 

Du côté de Canondale, on a donc accroché un peu plus solidement les épaulettes au maillot vert de Sagan.

 

A défaut d'une acquisition définitive, c'est déjà une location longue durée.

 

Place aux Alpes aujourd'hui avec la montée vers Chamrousse, préambule du volet alpin de ce Tour de France qui promet encore quelques sensations.
