島根西部、また猛烈な雨　８月２６日は九州北部で警戒

 

前線に向かって暖かく湿った空気が流れ込んで大気の状態が不安定になり、８月２５日は九州から近畿の広い範囲で非常に激しい雨が降った。

 

記録的大雨となった島根県西部の益田市では未明に、観測史上最多の１時間に８７・０ミリの猛烈な雨を記録した。

 

島根県の雨のピークは過ぎ、約３万７千人に出ていた避難勧告は全て解除された。

 

２３日朝からの総雨量は同県江津市と浜田市で、いずれも８月の月間雨量平年値の３倍を超えた。

 

気象庁は、山口県と九州北部は２６日朝にかけて１時間に５０ミリ以上の非常に激しい雨が降るとして、土砂災害に厳重に警戒するよう呼び掛けた。
