島根西部、また猛烈な雨 8月26日は九州北部で警戒

 

前線に向かって暖かく湿った空気が流れ込んで大気の状態が不安定になり、8月25日は九州から近畿の広い範囲で非常に激しい雨が降った。

 

記録的大雨となった島根県西部の益田市では未明に、観測史上最多の1時間に87・0ミリの猛烈な雨を記録した。

 

島根県の雨のピークは過ぎ、約3万7千人に出ていた避難勧告は全て解除された。

 

23日朝からの総雨量は同県江津市と浜田市で、いずれも8月の月間雨量平年値の3倍を超えた。

 

気象庁は、山口県と九州北部は26日朝にかけて1時間に50ミリ以上の非常に激しい雨が降るとして、土砂災害に厳重に警戒するよう呼び掛けた。
