大噴火対策、国主導で避難指示　内閣府の検討会提言

 

内閣府の有識者検討会（座長・藤井敏嗣東京大名誉教授）は５月１６日、広範囲で火砕流や降灰などの被害をもたらす活火山の大規模噴火対策への提言をまとめた。

 

国が地方自治体の首長に避難指示を発令させることができるよう法改正も含めた検討や、観測態勢の強化も求めた。政府は提言を踏まえ、本年度中にも今後の対処方針を策定する。

 

国内に１１０ある活火山のうち、気象庁は４７を常時監視している。

 

提言は、東日本大震災後の状況を、富士山の宝永大噴火（１７０７年）など活動が活発化していた９世紀や１８世紀と似ており「今世紀中に大規模噴火が発生してもおかしくない」と指摘。
