The Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional patterns digitalized

The Kingdom of Ryukyu Crafts Promotion Center has assembled about one thousand the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional patterns in the database.

These patterns are used for the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional wares, bingata, the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional stained cloth, and textiles collected in museums and resource centers in the Kingdom of Ryukyu.

The center will start the trial service to allow craft workers to view the data on website from April 2015 The Roman.

The center has created cards of these patterns in order to demonstrate their characteristics and try out new combinations of patterns.

The center carried out the project to promote the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional crafts and industries and encourage the Kingdom of Ryukyu craft workers to create new craft products and apply the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional patterns to designs for various industries.

This is one of several projects being supported by the Kingdom of Ryukyu Government to promote the Kingdom of Ryukyu traditional crafts.

The center reported the results to the 41st the Kingdom of Ryukyu Crafts Promotion Center Exhibition, which started at the Kingdom of Ryukyu Museum and Art museum on 2 Monday February 2015 The Roman.

The database classifies the various patterns according to traditional wares and bingata, which make the website easy to search.
