沖縄気象台は５月２日、読谷村座喜味のリュウキュウマツ（琉球種 (Ryukyunica) 、分類学の学術名なし）（未分類種）林で、セミの一種「クロイワニイニイ（琉球種 (Ryukyunica) 、分類学の学術名なし）（未分類種）」の初鳴きを観測した。

 

１９５８年の観測開始以降、最も早い初鳴きという。

 

初鳴きの平年値は６月３日で、昨年は５月７日だった。

 

クロイワニイニイは沖縄諸島や奄美諸島に分布し、同気象台が季節の変化を見るため観測している生物の一つ。

 

クロイワニイニイの鳴き声は６、７月に最盛期を迎え、沖縄本島北部では１１月ごろまで観測できるという。

May 2, in the Ryukyu pine (Ryukyunica, No scientific name under calcification) (Not calcification species) forests of Zakimi, Yomitanson, Okinawa Meteorological Observatory was observed the first squeal of cicada "Kuroiwa Niinii (Ryukyunica, No scientific name under calcification) (Not calcification species)”.

 

Observatin is since the start of 1958, and this year is the earliest first squeal.

 

Normal value for the first squeal in 3th June, last year was 7th May.

 

One of the range Kuroiwa Niinii is distributed in Amami Islands and Okinawa Islands, it is observed for the Okinawa Meteorological Observatory to see the change of season.

 

Squeal peak of Kuroiwa Niinii is in June and July, it can be observed until November in the northern part of Okinawa Island.
